Privacy Policy

1. Introduction

Welcome to Unifie. We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting your personal data. This privacy policy will inform you about how we look after your personal data when you visit our website or use our browser extension and tell you about your privacy rights and how the law protects you.

2. Local-First Architecture

Unifie is designed with a privacy-first, local-first architecture. This means:

  • Your "Brains" (context databases) are stored locally in your browser's IndexedDB.
  • We do not upload, sync, or read your context data on our servers unless you explicitly opt-in to our Cloud Sync feature.
  • Injections into third-party AI interfaces happen directly in the DOM of your browser.

3. Data We Collect

When you use Unifie, we may collect the following types of data:

  • Account Data: Email address, name, and authentication tokens when you create an account.
  • Telemetry Data: Anonymous usage statistics (e.g., number of injections performed, extension load time) to help us improve the product. This does NOT include the content of your conversations.
  • Billing Data: Processed securely via our payment provider (Stripe). We do not store full credit card details.

4. Third-Party AI Services

Our extension interacts with third-party AI services (like OpenAI's ChatGPT, Anthropic's Claude, or Google's Gemini) by injecting your local context into their web interfaces. Please be aware: Once data is injected into these interfaces and sent, it becomes subject to the privacy policies of those respective third-party providers. We are not responsible for how those companies handle data submitted to their platforms.
